Back to Diaries of a Crowdfunder
I knew there would be a few hurdles along the way but I wasn’t prepared for one to happen during the planning phase of creating my Crowdfunder.
But here we are, documenting everything, including the lows.

What do we need?
In order to Crowdfund for a charity, business or CIC, you need to have a registered Bank Account to that business. Little did we know how laborious and difficult this would be. We started applying for Bank Accounts in June but the process is long and by the time we were rejected by multiple banks, time had caught up with us.
This means we were suddenly stuck in limbo; waiting to find out if our third bank application was successful and unable to start our Crowdfunding application until then.
Instead of wasting that week or two of waiting, I decided to look at creating the video for our crowdfunding page (check back soon for the next update!)
UPDATE: After being refused by two banks, Unity Trust Banks finally approved us which means we can now get the ball rolling with the Crowdfunder application.
TOP TIP: Apply for your Bank Account earlier than you think if you don’t have one already.
