New stretch target
Any additional money will be used to purchase bats and balls for players to use throughout the session. We also loan the bats and balls out to younger players so they can practice at home.
We want to take our love of table tennis to a wider group of people, providing an opportunity for children and adults to take up our sport.

We are a small table tennis club that was formed back in 1982 in the village of Wyre Piddle in Worcestershire. We offer a fun, social environment for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy table tennis. We have over 50 members with ages ranging from 8 to 80, and pride ourselves on offering a place for anyone interested.
The club has recently moved to Pershore leisure centre because we outgrew the village hall in Wyre Piddle. We still play matches out of Wyre, but for social play, coaching and practice we use the sports hall at the leisure centre. That allows us to offer table tennis to a significantly larger group of players, covering all ages and all abilities from beginners through the league players.
We currently use some pretty old tables at the leisure centre and are looking to buy some new ones, plus some barriers to go between the tables. We would also like to use the venue for the club to host tournaments (including for beginners and novices), inviting players in from other local clubs and leagues.
We are looking to buy 9 new tables that are suitable for match play, plus barriers to go between the tables, and scoreboards to allow matches to take place. The plan is to allow the club to expand from the current 4 tables on 1 badminton court to 9 tables across 3 badminton courts, providing more space for more players to join us.
Our club is open to anyone. We keep costs low to ensure they are not a barrier to players taking part. For our junior members, we often have the parents joining in as well - giving them an opportunity to play and not just watch. If you'd like to try table tennis, then come along and join us.
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
